Genomic predictors and oncogenic drivers in hepatocellular carcinoma (HEPTROMIC)

European Commission, FP7

This 3-year translational research project aims to solve core problems in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by defining biomarkers for identification of HCC patients with poor-prognosis and novel genetic or epigenetic drivers, which would be critical for a more personalized therapeutic approach. Findings obtained from human tissue samples applying high-end technology will be confirmed in sophisticated experimental models and translated into novel biomarkers and targets for high impact clinical use.
